Hey folks are are back again with another Homebrew Review show! We are going to be trying a few beers and a mead donated by Kevin Penn and James Hancock of Livingston Social Brew Club… And we will do our best to tell you what we think 🙂 Please remember we are by no means certified to officially taste beer in any capacity, and our feed back is strictly for entertainment purposes only. So grab a homebrew and come hang out with us. What better way to chill out on a Monday evening!

It’s another Monday! We’re still organizing a Homebrew Review for 2/22/21, but in the meantime just want to have a chill night with ya’ll. We’ve had a lot of guests on lately (which has been amazing!) but want to just step back a sec and talk about what we learned as brewers over the last year. But of course we don’t want it to be all about us. We want to hear how all of you feel like you’ve grown too. Let’s talk homebrew, wine, mead, etc. and just have an awesome Monday night together.

We’re back again with Dana Wagner from Discover Kalamazoo and John Liberty from West Michigan Beer Tours to talk about the 2021 Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week (formerly known as Kalamazoo Beer Week). This week we have the privilege of talking with Barry Travis and Brian Bastien from The Mill at Vicksburg. For those unfamiliar with The Mill, Envision a campus – home to multiple breweries, barley malting and hops processing facilities, a local producers marketplace, retail & even live music! Construction is ongoing but we’re really excited to hear all about it! Grab a beer and come hang out with us!

This week we are going to be hanging out with Dana Wagner from Discover Kalamazoo and John Liberty from West Michigan Beer Tours to talk about the 2021 Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week (formerly known as Kalamazoo Beer Week), and how they have modified the event this year to work within the current precautions and restrictions. Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week will be kicking off on January 29th and will run through February 6th. The event has been expanded this year to include more Kalamazoo makers, adding local distilleries and wineries to join in with the breweries and celebrate the craft beverage industry as a whole. To give us a sneak peak of this year’s KBW, we are also going to be joined by Kevin and Michael Christensen, and Kevin Homan from Final Gravity Brewing! Final Gravity will have a few events taking place during KBW at their Kalamazoo location, and is also close to completing an expansion of their Decatur location, so there will be lots of cool stuff to chat about there. Grab a beer and come hang out with us!

We talk about heavily fruited / smoothie beers. Don’t mind as we go off topic and hit a few of the other fads of the last year, and maybe even see if we can guess what the next fad in 2021 will be!

A surprise show! Join us tomorrow night as we do a 2020 year in review. Come hang out as we remember the cool guests that helped us kick this show off this year! (As well as all the times we went off topic, Jason got drunk and talked to much, Jordan got drunk and smiled at the camera, or we listened to Brian get drunk and ramble on about the science of brewing.) So come hang out and hit it one more time for 2020!

We are going to be discussing the AHA – American Homebrewers Association. The AHA has a nationwide homebrewer community, and offers a ton of resources and benefits to its members. We will be joined by two of the AHA Governing Committee Members, Amy Martin and Gail Milburn, both local to Michigan!
